Ryan shared about this session: “The rural community of Payson, UT provides myriad excellent locations full of texture, color and character. Add to that a cute senior girl with great style and you have the makings of a great session.”
Gear: Canon 5D MKIII, 24-70 f/2.8 L, 70-200 f/2.8 L IS, Alien Bees 1600 strobe.
Inspiration: “I love to shoot in the late afternoon, reduce the ambient with filters, and bring in my own light with a large strobe. I just love the look.”

Business/Personal share: “I was into photography back in the day, working on both the HS yearbook and newspaper. Then college, marriage, career and family came along and photography fell to the wayside. In 2004 I moved my family to the Netherlands, and knew that I wanted to document our experiences in Europe. At that time the digital camera revolution was just taking hold and I jumped back into photography by buying my first DLSR.
Four years in Holland, followed by a year in Tokyo and my passion for photography was completely rekindled. I’m now based in Phoenix, and shoot portraits, weddings and still plenty of personal work.”
